This catalog is for two first-party flows: FX trading, and withdrawals to a verified account you own. Use it to pick the currency value on /v3/fx/ requests, validate inputs before a quote, and see which assets are still early access. It does not list receive currencies for third-party payouts. Those are a separate catalog: Supported payout currencies lists the currencies you can pay to someone else’s bank account.
Source of truth for trading. Trading pairs can differ by organization. GET /v3/fx/pairs is the live list of what your account can trade. The tables below are the platform-wide set. An account’s enabled subset may be smaller. Request more pairs through Customer Success at support@mail.openfx.com.
For how amounts are encoded as strings, and how precision works in requests and responses, see Amounts.

What this catalog covers

A code that appears here can be a valid CurrencyCode on a payout request and still fail later: payout support is gated by capability coverage and the destination address, not by this list.

Currency code format

Currencies use the CurrencyCode type (regex ^[A-Z0-9]{2,15}$).
  • Fiat follows ISO 4217 (USD, EUR, GBP).
  • Stablecoins use canonical tickers (USDC, USDT, EURC).
  • Codes are case-sensitive and always uppercase.

Fiat

For first-party fiat withdrawals, rails accept at most 2 decimal places (for example "1000.00") and reject sub-cent amounts. This rail limit does not constrain FX amounts: FX requests and responses may contain up to 16 fractional digits. See Amounts. Beta currencies are available for integration testing. The contract may still change. Do not promise production SLAs to your customers yet. No state label means the currency is generally available and supported for production traffic. The rails above are first-party withdrawal rails. Third-party payouts route over their own rails, for example CO_ACH and BREB for COP and AE_LOCAL for AED, so a currency can show different rail names here and in the payout catalog. Per-currency cut-offs for first-party withdrawals are on Settlement times. Confirm cut-offs and submission rules with Customer Success before you integrate Beta fiat.

Stablecoins

For first-party stablecoin withdrawals, rails accept up to 6 decimal places (for example "1000.123456"). FX amount schemas allow up to 16 fractional digits. See Amounts. Withdrawal chain selection is bound to the verified withdrawal account, not the currency field. A USDC withdrawableBalance spans enabled chains until you pick a withdrawalAccountId. The API network value for each chain, and how withdrawals route, live on Supported networks.

Adding a new currency

The listed set is the platform default. To request a trading pair or account-level enablement, contact Customer Success at support@mail.openfx.com. Once enabled, pairs show up in GET /v3/fx/pairs and can be quoted immediately.
